Movies, Documentaries and TV Series Worth Watching

During my free time, I really enjoy watching movies, documentaries, tv series and all. Sometimes, I ask Dominic to look for this certain movie (he's the techie one) then we watch it together. I'm a homebody. I always prefer staying at home and relax.

Here are some of my recommendations for you to watch that I've seen lately or some of my old time favorites. Well, in no particular order. I will post more soon.

 MODERN FAMILY

I love this! Hilarious, family love and good vibes! Feel good tv series for the whole family to watch. You can watch this at Netflix.

HOUSE OF CARDS

I love this American political tv series starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. Their partnership is really something. If you love politics, you will love this. Manipulations... Power... They have it all. You can watch this at Netflix. I finished watching the final season already. For me, House of Cards is better with Frank Underwood. I love it when he starts talking to himself. 

KIM'S CONVENIENCE

It's a Canadian television sitcom. A Korean-Canadian family running a convenience store in Toronto.  Very homey and good vibes. I love it. Can't stop laughing! I remember, I was browsing Netflix and this kept on popping out. So, I decided to give it a try. No one wanted to watch it with me. So when I started watching it, I saw Dom taking a glance from time to time. He started watching with me. Then we told Elmer about it, started it all over again for him to catch up. Now, it's our bonding time to watch this. Good laugh!

CASABLANCA

Classic! If you love watching old movies, this American romantic drama film is a good one. The famous quote from this movie, "We'll always have Paris." One of the most popular films ever made.

GONE WITH THE WIND

Another classic! It's about strength when she lost everything from the war. The love for a married man of this spoiled and beautiful Southern girl, Scarlett, and her romance with Rhett who became her husband.

WHITNEY

I watched this the other day. I'm a Whitney Houston fan. I love her music! I always play and sing Whitney's songs in the car. Yup! Now, it's not a secret anymore. Haha. I sing.. in the car! =) So much talent and love for music. You will learn more about her personal life. You can watch this at Netflix.

WHITNEY - CAN I BE ME?

I watched this first last year. It came out first. Watch both if you are a Whitney fan. 

LAST HOLIDAY

Georgia (Queen Latifah) is an introvert who lives her daily life cautiously. Then discovers she has a terminal illness and was dying. She then withdraws her life savings, traveled to Europe and lived like a Millionaire. She started living life to the fullest, met new friends, ate what made her happy. And, watch what happened in the end. My all time favorite movie! Feel good movie. Lessons learned. 

GET ME ROGER STONE

Roger Stone is a master in the art of politics and a political consultant. Said to be a master in creating controversy and master manipulator. This is an American documentary film that you can watch at Netflix. I love politics so it was a good watch. 

WHAT THE HEALTH

You can watch this documentary at Netflix. It's about reversing and preventing chronic diseases. It's a very famous documentary. It changed the way I think about food. 

FORKS OVER KNIVES

It shows you that if you change your diet from animal-based to plant-based, it can help you with your health. 

HERO

I watched this movie recently because my dad recommended it to us. While having dinner, he was telling us about some nice movies to watch. We got intrigued so we watched it. Very good movie. The setting was in ancient China. It's about the King of Qin who survived multiple attempts on his life by assassins. No visitors were allowed to approach the King. Watch the catch with Jet Li.

MADAM SECRETARY

She was a CIA analyst then appointed as Secretary of State. I enjoy watching these things. Exciting, makes me think and never boring. You can watch this at Netflix.

THE UPSIDE

Watched this movie last week at Powerplant Mall. Super funny! Reminds you to live life to the fullest! Philip is a wealthy guy who needs a caretaker to help with his everyday routine in his New York penthouse. He hired Dell... See what happens...

KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS

I remember way way back, I was running out of series to watch. I decided to give it a try and watched their Pilot episode. I got hooked! I watched all the seasons. I think I never missed even 1 episode. Season 16 will be on March 2019. It's about family, life, fashion and a lot more!

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS

Ladies living a lavish lifestyle that only Beverly Hills can offer. It's entertaining. My favorite housewife must be Lisa Vanderpump.
